What it is for

The aim of the wheelchair service is to maximise the mobility, posture and quality of life for patients through timely access to appropriate assessment, provision and maintenance of equipment. The Provider should respond to changes in patients' health conditions through review and deliver a service that is perceived to be a good experience. This Contract is focused on the Approved Repairer functions, which will work closely to support the clinical elements of the service. The Approved Repairer provides deliveries, non-clinical handovers and collections, repairs, maintenance and modifications in some instances to equipment. Procurement on behalf of the service of all equipment including spare parts and accessories.
