What it is for

This work order supports National Highways' urgent push toward net zero by safely trialling and proving new low carbon road surfacing materials before they are used more widely on the network. It focuses on testing innovative asphalt technologies under real traffic conditions to make sure they are durable, safe, and deliver genuine carbon and whole life cost savings compared with traditional materials.
