What it is for

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is driving economic growth across the UK by supporting businesses to invest, grow, and export, thereby creating jobs and opportunities nationwide. The NDTP, a critical initiative within DBT, aims to enable trusted, secure, and resilient information sharing across sectors and to facilitate better decision making through advanced data visualization and analytics. The NDTP requires services to further develop and enhance the IA, a critical component that supports the management and sharing of information across organisations. The IA combines technology and policy to ensure that the right information is available to the right people at the right time, with a particular emphasis on data quality and security. The IA is being developed as an open-source solution, enabling organisations to deploy, adapt, and extend the architecture without dependency on the original developer. The primary objectives of this initiative are to provide services that support the design, development, and deployment of the IA. The Supplier will be responsible for enhancing the IA's capabilities, ensuring robust security measures, and contributing to the NDTP's goal of releasing as much of the developed codebase as possible under the MIT license, in accordance with Government Digital Service (GDS) advice.
