What it is for

Appointment of a full-service social marketing agency to plan and deliver a comprehensive social marketing campaign aimed at increasing the number of smokers attempting to quit in the city. This will be focussed on areas of the city and groups with the highest smoking rates. The campaign's primary objective is to gather insights into the barriers and facilitators to quitting smoking, encourage access to smoking cessation services, develop tailored marketing collateral, and execute a targeted social media strategy. This initiative aims to increase referrals to the Live Well Leicester Stop Smoking Service and ultimately reduce smoking prevalence in Leicester. The procurement process was Targeted Quotation to 3 providers, 2 bids were received of which 1 was compliant. Contract is for an initial period of 2 years to commence on 1 April 2025, with an option to extend, subject to satisfactory performance outcomes and agreement by the Authority, for further periods up to a total of three (1+1+1) years, taking the contract term to a maximum of 5 years.
