What it is for

The University of Sheffield's School of Biosciences is looking to procure a mass spectrometer capable of high-resolution MALDI imaging and liquid and nano chromatography. The equipment will need to be supplied, installed, and commissioned on-site at the School of Biosciences. The instrumentation should be suitable for MALDI imaging at a spatial resolution down to 5um and also for high throughput quantitative analysis of complex mixtures of proteins/peptides and metabolites. The equipment will be used to facilitate research into a wide variety of biological applications with one of the main applications being single cell resolution MALDI imaging.
