What it is for

Conduct grey squirrel impact surveys at 670 locations across our 11,000 acres of open spaces and a population index survey in Epping Forest. APHA will conduct grey squirrel density and tree damage surveys on at least two woodland compartments within Epping Forest. APHA will conduct tree damage surveys on a sub-sample of approximately 670 ha of woodland, to provide to provide an assessment of grey squirrel damage across the City of London. APHA will use the data collected to model the relationship between density and damage, accounting for factors such as tree species and tree age and assess the severity of grey squirrel damage across City of London woodlands.
