What it is for

The existing backline fencing of Hitchin Waste Transfer Station, running from the access gate behind the weighbridge office to the waste pile area, is of a temporary nature. The Council would like to replace it with a permanent fence which is both sturdier and taller (4m). In addition, the fence next to the street sweepings waste pile at the rear of the site is now damaged. The Council is looking to completely remove this part of the fencing and replace it with a fence of the same type and height as we are replacing the temporary fence with. Sitting immediately in front of this section of the fence are a series of A-Frame which help contain the street sweepings waste, so the Bidder should also seek to apply new HD concrete base that would be suitable both for the installation of the new fence line and the storing of these A-Frames. For more details, please study the quotation document.
