What it is for

Folkestone & Hythe District Council (F&HDC) seeks to award a single commission to an experienced education and skills provider to deliver two important local projects. This organisation will support F&HDC in delivering outputs and results against these three priority areas in the council's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) programme for the 2024/25 financial year. UKSPF is a central pillar of the UK government's Levelling Up agenda and provides funding for local areas to invest in communities and places, supporting local business, and people and skills.\\r\r \\r\r The programme being commissioned will have opportunities in two project areas:\\r\r \\r\r 1. Retrofit and Green Skills: Green skills courses targeted around ensuring we have the skilled workforce to achieve the government's net zero and wider environmental ambitions.\\r\r \\r\r 2. Construction Skills: Support for local areas to fund local skills needs. This includes technical and vocational qualifications and courses up to level 2 and training for vocational licences relevant to local area needs and high-value qualifications where there is a need for additional skills capacity that is not being met through other provision'.\\r\r \\r\r The opportunity is available on Kent Business Portal - https://www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk/ , Reference number DN716883\\r\r
