Continuation of Essential Public Health Services • The service provider, WasteWise Ltd, has been delivering waste collection and disposal services to the GHA for over three years. The decision to engage in a "mini-competition" was driven by the need to regularize an existing arrangement while ensuring service continuity and compliance with environmental regulations. • Disruption to this service could pose significant health and safety risks to patients, staff, and the wider community. 2. Market Engagement and Competitive Process • A selective market engagement was undertaken, whereby six locally based service providers were invited to submit proposals, ensuring competition and value for money. This approach sought to identify the most economically advantageous offer without causing service disruption. • The most competitive bid was identified through this process, ensuring that the selected contractor provided the required service at the lowest cost while meeting operational requirements. 3.
