What it is for

Hull City Council (The Authority) has entered into Service Level Agreements to provide provision of SEN Units/Resource Bases at levels in line with the latest requirements stated by the 'High Needs Funding Operational Guidance', which is published annually by the Education & Skills Funding Agency. The agreements were awarded on a direct award basis as per Government Guidance. The contract is anticipated to commence 1st September 2024 ending by 31st August 2026 with an option to extend for a period or periods of 12 months not to exceed 36 months in total. The Authority has estimated the value of the services to be £2,280,000 overall. The placement cost for each Child is £10,000 agreed by the school/trust. The Educational Healthcare Plan of each individual child or young person is dependent on the individual needs of the child or young person therefore their pupil premium level may be funded differently in each circumstance. For the avoidance of doubt, the estimated contract value may increase depending on the needs of the child or young person.
