What it is for

The Ministry of Justice requires a Contractor to provide the supply of Fresh Bread and Morning Goods to all public sector and in scope private sector prisons in England and Wales. This supply is critical to the prison service who feed over 80,000 prisoners as well as prison staff and visitors. The Contractor must be able to provide a core range of bread products and have the ability to deliver products on a national basis. Products must also comply with all relevant food safety legislation. The number and location of prisons to which the Contractor shall be required to deliver may change. The anticipated term of the contract will be 4 years from service commencement date with the option to extend (in accordance with the terms of the contract and at the Authority's discretion) for a period of 1 + 1 years.
