What it is for

Contract for the delivery of Dovercourt Public Realm improvement scheme. The project will deliver a series of streetscape improvements along the Kingsway corridor to help revitalise the town centre. The scheme focuses on four main areas: • Dovercourt Railway Station Forecourt Footway improvements, rearrangement of existing station parking spaces including pick-up/drop-off and accessible spaces, additional trees and benches, and replanting of existing granite planters. • High Street Junction with Kingsway Asphalt surfacing to highlight crossing points, advanced stop lines, and new surfacing to emphasise the junction. • Harwich Library Forecourt Dovercourt Public Realm Improvements Scheme - Award of Contract & progression of Traffic Regulation Orders 4 Building out of footway into the carriageway to create additional public space, additional trees and feature benches, repositioning of cycle parking stands and widening and repaving of footways. • Marine Parade The scheme delivers minor improvements at the Kingsway and B1414 Marine Parade junction, including new concrete footway surfacing, upgraded paving and kerb alignments, and revised parking and disabled bays. Resurfacing of the carriageway and footway will be carried out alongside new surface water channels and gullies to suit updated levels. Existing parking, cycle stands and street furniture will be adjusted or replaced to integrate with the new layout outside the library.
