What it is for

DfT is seeking delivery of cyber security services as part of our Cyber Programme to improve our understanding and resilience of cyber security within transport. Transport is an attractive target for malicious and disruptive cyber-attacks. As we move towards increasing use of digitalisation and interconnectivity across the transport network, this increases the attack surface available for attackers to exploit. A particular area we are interested in understanding the risk better is Public Electric Vehicles ChargePoint's. This requirement will help us understand the cyber risks to Public ChargePoint's and ChargePoint Operators, looking at business models employed and current cyber and data security measures being taken. This requirement will help us to anticipate the cyber risks within this emerging area and improve our understanding of the vulnerabilities to ChargePoint's and their Operators and identify available mitigations. The successful suppliers will provide support to the department in its activities.
