What it is for

Background & Purpose This project aims to establish the presence or absence of the White-clawed crayfish, Signal crayfish, and crayfish plague at 91 sites across England (locations in spreadsheet attached). Surveys will be undertaken for a variety of reasons depending on site and catchment, including: • to verify historic White-clawed crayfish records • to test for presence of Signal crayfish and crayfish plague • to survey Ark sites to confirm success of introductions • to identify new Arc sites for translocation of White-clawed crayfish
