What it is for

Creation of Event Spaces: Developing new areas for events and activities to encourage further engagement and activation of the High Street. These improvements aim to increase footfall, encourage longer visits, and support local businesses, thereby boosting the local economy. The project is funded through the UK Government's Towns Fund and is expected to commence in spring 2025, with completion anticipated by March 2026. This contract is for Early Contractor Involvement, which will enable the Council to engage the contractor early in scheme development to ensure the project meets the Council's requirements and budget, achieving best value for money, before proceeding with the works contract.
