What it is for

SPCB DFD is responsible for extracting Electronically Stored Information (ESI) from digital storage devices and the subsequent forensic analysis of the ESI in support of Service Police investigations. SPCB DFD currently utilise Cellebrite specialist tools for mobile, smartphone and PDA forensics known as Universal Forensic Extraction Devices (UFED) to search, interrogate, extract, and analyse electronic media on a multitude of digital devices in order to generate a standardised evidential product. SPCB DFD Premium as a service is used for advanced exploitation which downloads exploit tokens to defeat mobile locking mechanisms, with 140 credits is required to speed up the processes and reduce costs.
