What it is for

To ensure continuity of critical business, Pathology, TSE Reference Laboratory and Animal By-Products Reference Laboratory (Feed Testing) capability, APHA requires the refurbishment, reconfiguration and extension of B96 Laboratories complex inclusive of the following buildings: B96, B96a, B96b, B96c, B96d, generator and small associated structures. This will include the movement of Pathology functions from B97 to B96, to increase team resilience and interoperability, to enable SCAH enabling works and site logistics re-modelling. As a key constraint, Pathology science functions are required in this complex until SCAH Science Hubs are delivered. Additionally, it will provide a replacement for B150. Building 96 needs to fulfil the requirements of Pathology building 150, that will be demolished to release space for the new HUB, as part of SCAH site re-modelling.
